Do Aju or bath (which is necessary for you) at the beginning of prayers. It is also important to keep your clothes and prayer place clean and tidy. Make sure your satar is covered. (Satar for women means covering everything except the hands, feet and face.)
If all this is right, stand facing the Qibla. Try to stay calm and concentrate on the prayer you are going to perform now. Keep your eyes on the place where your prostration will fall during prayers. Keep your toes straight towards the Qibla.
When standing, the distance between the legs of men should be at least 4 toes and women should keep the two legs as close as possible.
1. Takbeer-e-Tehreema
At this time the women will rise both of her hands at equal height along the shoulders. The fingers of both hands should be close together and the face should be turned towards the Qibla. Do not forget to place two eyes in the place of prostration.
Dua of Takbeer-e-Tehreema:
‘Allahu Akbar’
Meaning: Allah is great
2. Qiyam (Sana)
At this time women will tie both hands equally on the chest. The right hand will be on top of the left hand. The fingers will be in the same position. In Qiyam, men twist the left hand with the fingers of the right hand. A woman should not do this.
Dua of Qiyam (Sana):
‘Subhanaka Allahumma wa Bihamdika, Wa Tabarakasmuka, Wa Taala Jadduka wa La Ilaha Gairuka.’ (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood Mishkat)
Meaning: O Allah! I am describing your holiness. You are praiseworthy, your name is blessed, your dignity is very high, and there is no true god but you.
At the end of Sana, Surah Fatiha should be recited saying ‘Auzubillahi Minas Shaitowani’s Razim’ and Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem ’. After reciting Surah Fatiha, one should recite any other Surah together. Then you have to bow down saying ‘Allahu-Akbar’.
3. Ruku
When bowing, women should bend in a right portion that their knees can be touched with their fingers. When touching the knee with the fingers, care should be taken that the fingers are not evenly spread side by side.
In Ruku, men keep their knees straight. But women will bend their knees and lean forward. At this time both eyes will be on the toes. The following dua should be recited 3 times while bowing.
Dua of Ruku:
Subha-na Rabbi’al Azim (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood)
Meaning: My Lord is holy and majestic.
4. Qiyamah
Qiyamah is the prerequisite for standing straight from Ruku and goin to Sijdah. The dua of Qiyamah is to be recited while returning from Ruku.
Dua of Qiyamah:
Sami Allah Huliman Hamida, Rabbanalakal Hamd.
Meaning: Those who praise Allah, HE hears all. Our Lord, all praise is due to You.
5. Sijdah
At the end of the Qiyamah, one has to go Sijdah saying ‘Allahu Akbar’. When going to Sijdah, first the hands, then the nose and finally the forehead will touch the ground. At this time the eyes should be kept towards the nose. In case of women, all their limbs (arms, knees, legs) should be kept as close to each other as possible and to the ground. Keep the toes facing the Qibla.
Doa of Sijdah:
Subha-na Rabbi’al Ala
Meaning: I am describing the holiness and glory of my Lord, who is above all.
After reciting this dua at least 3 times in Sijdah, one should say ‘Allah Akbar’ and sit up straight. Saying ‘Allah Akbar’ again, one has to go to the Sijdah again and recite the Sijdah’s prayer. A total of 2 Sijdahs have to be done in each rak’ah and the above dua has to be recited at least 3 times each time. The following dua should be recited in a short time while sitting in the middle of two Sijda:
Allahummamagfirli, warhamni, wahdini, wa afini, waryukni. (Muslim, Mishkat)
Meaning: O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, give me guidance, give me peace and give me sustenance.
Then you have to finish the Sijdah and stand up straight. And this is how the activities of 1 rak’at will end. For the second rak’ah, Surah Fatiha should be recited while tying the hands again, saying, ‘Auzubillahi Minas Shaitowani’s Razim’ and Bismillahi Rahmanir Raheem ’.
After reciting Surah Fatiha, one should recite any other Surah together. Then you have to bow down saying ‘Allahu-Akbar’. The work from ruku to Sijdah will be done according to the previous rules. However, in the second rak’ah, at the end of the sijdah, one should not get up directly and sit down.
